"Whenever you hear or read about The Coming Grass, you'll come across
Ken Coomer's name. Herewith that's a fact already..Wilco-drummer Coomer may
be the one behind the drumkit here, it's mainly the other part of the group
that's stealing the show. Sara Cox, for instance, who's been singing herself
deep into our hearts with the gorgeous countryrock song, "Firewater".
And Nate Schrock who's demonstrating his excellent vocal skills too in the
equally wonderful "Stowaway". The Coming Grass are one part Wilco,
one part Replacements and a shot of Lucinda to spice things up. The result
of the mix up of these ingredients can be tasted on "Transient":
an infectious cocktail of Americana, rootspop and guitar rock. Songs like
the above-mentioned "Firewater", "Fix your own Cup of Tea" or "Vacancy
Sign" have surely left their traces around here...Strong effort!"
